LifePointe Church in Rio Linda extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the generous supporters who made our dream a reality. Our playground, destroyed by arson last February, has been replaced! Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Rotary Club of Foothill Highlands, under President Roland Wright's leadership, and the collaboration of Pastor Robert Hale and our church team, this wonderful project came to fruition.

The primary objective of this joint venture was to create an outdoor haven where our little ones could play safely. Several Rotary Clubs, including the Foothill Highlands and North Sacramento Clubs, joined forces to secure District Grant funding and navigate the challenges posed by supply chain disruptions and the COVID-19 pandemic. The project evolved over multiple phases, including ground preparation, safety fencing, and ordering the playground equipment. Roland, along with Hallsten Corporation, generously contributed essential materials, ensuring the project's progress.

Finally, the playground arrived, and we immediately invested in protective rubber flooring to prioritize child safety. With an incredible show of support from the church, our Rotary Club, Rotaractors, and fellow Rotarians within District 5180, we successfully assembled the playground and installed the safety flooring. The result? A vibrant, secure play space that not only delighted the children but also led to the expansion of our youth group, much to the joy of our church pastor.

This remarkable $30,000 project was made possible through the collective efforts of numerous Rotary Clubs, grant funding, and contributions from our church over the course of two years. With this project completed, we're eager to identify and address the next community need. We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support that made this transformational project a reality. Thank you!
