On April 13th, our Compassionate Ministry Team led Project Reach, a heartfelt outreach to serve the homeless community of North Sacramento. Through generous donations and countless helping hands, we were able to bless hundreds of people with prayer, food, water, clothing, shoes, hygiene essentials, and more.
Instead of asking people to come to us, we followed the example of Jesus, who went out to where the people were—meeting them in their need and showing compassion without conditions. Just as Jesus fed the hungry, healed the sick, and spoke hope to the brokenhearted, our team sought to bring His love in practical ways.
One story from Scripture that reminds us of this mission is found in Matthew 25:35–36, where Jesus says, “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” Every handshake, prayer, and smile during Project Reach carried that same heartbeat—to see and serve others the way Christ does.
Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and prayed. Together, we truly became the hands and feet of Jesus in our city.
